Daniel Chechik, M.D.

Daniel Chechik, M.D. is our RETINAL subspecialist.  He has extensive experience in treating retinal diseases and uveitis.  Some of the problems he treats most often include diabetes, macula degeneration, macula edema, retinal membranes and inflammation of the retina and uvea,  In our office we have one of the newest Cirrus OCT imaging machines which has helped immeasurably in treating these diseases.  We also offer fluroscein angiography, a procedure during which a dye in injected into a vein, and outlines the retinal circulation.  Dr. Chechik gets the results of these tests immediately and is able to discuss treatment options the same day. Retinal laser treatments are done in-office.

Dr. Chechik is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, the same institution from which he received his MD degree in 1997.  He continued his residency in Ophthalmolgy here and followed with a fellowhip in surgery and medical disorders of the retina and vitreous.  He is a board certified ophthalmologist.  Dr. Chechik is fluent in Russian, Spanish and Italian.
